Q. What are the best baits for catfish?
A. Catfish have an excellent sense of taste and smell, and usually the stinkier the better for baits for them.
There are tons of commercially baits and homemade baits that have all sorts of rotten cheese, animal products, and a variety of other flavors added to them. Inexpensive meats like hot dogs and chicken livers work as well. Earthworms are always a good option, and so are doughballs made of rolled up bread or cereal.
Seems like every catfisherman has his own secret recipe for baits and scents they add to them, so have fun mixing your own recipe and see what works for you.
